A local man faces a felony charge after police said he secretly recorded himself and others having sex in his bedroom.

Police arrested Travis Lunsford, 39, of 2717 W. Meadowlark Drive in Fayetteville on a felony charge of video voyeurism.

Fayetteville police received an anonymous tip in November of last year about a “sexual predator in Fayetteville,” according to a preliminary arrest report. The tipster reportedly mailed a flash drive to police containing 12 video recordings of adults having sex.

Detectives reportedly identified Lunsford in each of the videos.

As many as 10 different women and two men, other than Lunsford, were recorded engaging in sexual activity without their knowledge, the report said. Police said Lunsford can be seen in the videos setting up the recording device in his room and turning it off when the sexual encounters are over. Most of the sexual encounters happened in the same bedroom, the report said, which sometimes had an Arkansas Razorback flag hanging on the wall in the background.

Investigators said they’ve been able to identify three of the women and the two men.

In letter to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the tipster identified Lunsford as the person who made the recordings. Lunsford reportedly shared a video with the source involving Lunsford, another man and two women. He told the source that no one was aware they were being recorded, the report said.

One of the women shown in the videos told police she had sex with Lunsford but didn't know she was being recorded, according to a news release.

Police are looking for women from the videos they were unable to identify. Anyone with information can call the Fayetteville Police Department at 479-587-3555.

Lunsford was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was being held Wednesday on $5,000 bond Wednesday.
