Mary Ley, communications director for the Bentonville School District, looks through survey results Tuesday in Bentonville.

A majority of respondents would support a lower cost second high school, survey results released by the Bentonville School District on Tuesday show. The postcard survey went out last month to the 9,630 voters who participated in a failed millage increase election on June 26, 2012.

Meeting Information

Bentonville School Board

Someone paid for your schools so time to take your turn funding. Cheaper to pay for schools then jails and welfare.

I would like to see the study linking government schools to less jails and less welfare. Bye, emily, guess we won't see you again under that name.

While being generally disposed against anything Moneymyst is for, the facts force me to agree here:

I refuse to continue to cough up money for the education of children I was smart enough not to produce. If you want to have children, you should pay for their raising - that includes their education.

I was the result of an accidental pregnancy. Yet, and despite their ability to have said pregnancy aborted, my parents foolishly did the wrong thing and brought me to term. They then paid their taxes to fund my public school education (such as it was.)

My folks didn't get their moneys' worth, and I'm still waiting for someone to state a good reason for me to pay for your child. That's your job.

The bottom line is this, as far as I'm concerned: I've got no children, and don't want any. I own real estate in Benton County, and am unwilling to pay to educate your mistakes.

Gen Buck, such insensitvity, I'm shocked. I'm a fixing to state a good reason for you to pay for their mistakes:

"In a higher phase of society can the narrow horizon of bourgeois right be fully left behind and society inscribe on its banners: from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs."---Karl Marx

If that doesn't convince you to empty that moldy pocketbook and give to the inocent children in your society, then you are obiviosly a lower phase society kind of guy. No hope for you Gen (such as it is)

And why are you not going to see me again? Unlike you I don't waste my time posting a stupid picture with a "cute" name. While I don't spend my waking hours scouring the internet for statistics that still won't change your selfish minds, I stand by my statements. People paid for your education; it is time for you to pay up. Do you really want to get older and have your police, firefighters, doctors, and politicans uneducated? The most important reason to talk to the bentonville school board and make requests for a reasonable millage heard, is because if another one fails, Little Rock, by law, will step in and build another school. Do you really want to lose local control. Either way a school is coming fellas so deal with it.

Wow... explains so much about why I do not live in Bentonville, teach in Bentonville, or even spend my money in Bentonville.
