— Patsy Sutton — the wife of former Arkansas basketball coach Eddie Sutton — has died at age 74.

Officials at Ninde Brookside Chapel say Patsy Sutton died Tuesday at a Tulsa hospital after suffering a stroke in December.

Patsy Sutton followed her husband to coaching stops at College of Southern Idaho, Creighton, Arkansas, Kentucky and Oklahoma State. Eddie Sutton finished his career as interim coach at San Francisco while Patsy stayed home in Oklahoma.

Eddie Sutton spent 11 seasons as Arkansas' head coach before leaving in 1985. He won 260 games - second-most in school history - and led the Razorbacks to the Final Four in 1978.

She's survived by her sons — Tulsa banker Steve Sutton, Oral Roberts head coach Scott Sutton and ORU assistant Sean Sutton. Sean also coached at OSU after Eddie Sutton resigned in 2006 following an alcohol-related accident.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m. at First Methodist Church in Tulsa.
