BASEBALL
• The War Eagle Baseball Training Camp will be held on Sundays through January to give baseball training to youngsters from kindgarten through eighth grade, which attend a school that feeds into Rogers Heritage. Others who attend private school, but live within the Heritage boundaries are also eligible to attend. The training will be held inside the Heritage Indoor athletic facility. • Lowell First Baptist Church and Rogers First Church of the Nazarene will offer Upward Basketball/Cheerleading to all of the youth of NWA. • Northwest Arkansas Fencing Center, 1100 SE 14th Street Suite 16, Bentonville, will offer January Introductory Fencing Classes on Mondays and Wednesdays starting Jan. 7. • The Arkansas Comets are hosting Winter Soccer Schools at All-Star Sports Arena in Springdale in January and February. Classes meet once a week and are administered by Dave O’Brien and the Comets U17 Boys team. There are two classes. Regular soccer school is for ages 4 to 12. There is also an Advanced Ball Skills class for advanced players, ages 10 and older. • Registration for Winter Coed Adult Volleyball at the Yvonne Richardson Center in Fayetteville are open through Jan. 10. The cost for each team is $250 for 7 games, plus a guaranteed spot in the post-season tournament.
