McDaniel to talk to press after admitting relationship

LITTLE ROCK Democratic gubernatorial candidate and Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel is expected to talk to reporters this week after admitting last month that he’d had an extramarital relationship with a Hot Springs lawyer.
McDaniel is slated to meet with reporters Tuesday — weeks after he acknowledged having a relationship with attorney Andrea Davis, who had handled cases McDaniel’s office defended.
Davis did not respond to a phone message left Monday.
McDaniel is the only announced Democratic candidate for the 2014 governor’s race. He has been married since 2009. He said he met Davis during his 2010 re-election bid.
Davis represented a group of parents who successfully challenged the state’s school choice law. McDaniel’s office represented state education officials in that case.
