Former Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe show that he has asked Gov. Deval Patrick to appoint him to serve as the state’s interim senator, assuming Sen. John Kerry is confirmed as secretary of state, until a special election can be held to fill the seat, adding: “Coach, put me in.”
