Decatur Holds Off Hackett

Decatur’s second field goal of the second half was a difference maker Friday night. Sophomore Victor Urquidi hit a 15-foot jump shoot with three seconds left to lift the Bulldogs to a 26-25 victory over Hackett in a 2A-4 Conference game.

GIRLS — The Lady Hornets scored the first 14 points of the game to pull away for the victory.
Tara Blanton led Hackett (5-7, 2-2) with 16 points, all of which came in the second half.
Sayde Roughton hit a 3-pointer for the Lady Bulldogs (3-9, 1-2) first points early in the second period and finished with three points. Freshman Amanda Brenes was recently brought up from junior high team and she finished with two points
