Springdale girl killed in wreck

A 7-year-old Springdale girl was killed in a wreck Sunday evening near Old Wire Road and Bitter Lane, according to a report from the Arkansas State Police.
Sarah R. Christians was a passenger in a Honda that ran off the road into a ditch before striking a concrete culvert. She was airlifted to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, where she died. She was not properly secured in a child seat, according to the report.
The driver, Clare Smith, 27, of Springdale, was injured in the wreck. Sarah and Smith were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
