Juvenile Arrested In Connection With Jogger Assaults

— Police arrested a boy in connection with recent assaults women reported while jogging along Cheri Whitlock Parkway.

Deputy Chief Geoff Lewis said the boy was being held Wednesday at the Benton County Juvenile Detention Center.

“Our detectives are continuing to follow up with the victims and conducting photo lineups with them,” Lewis said Wednesday.

The women reported the boy ran up to them, grabbed them around the waist or on the buttocks and often made sexual remarks to them before running off.

Four similar incidents were reported to police recently, including one Sunday afternoon.

Joggers described the boy as 15 to 16 years old, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall with very short dark hair.

The boy could face charges of sexual assault or assault.
