— Poor weather has thrown UALR and Central Arkansas a curve.

Iowa and Wichita State had midweek series postponed because of snow in Kansas and Iowa, so instead the teams will play games in Conway and Little Rock this week.

UALR, which had a game at Oklahoma State postponed Tuesday, will host Wichita State at 4 p.m. Thursday, then will play Iowa at 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday before closing out the weekend against Western Illinois at 1 p.m. Sunday. All the games will be played at Gary Hogan Field in Little Rock.

Western Illinois will play Wichita State at 11 a.m. Friday at Gary Hogan Field, Western Illinois and Iowa will play at 11 a.m. Saturday, and Wichita State and Iowa will play at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Iowa had been scheduled to play four games in Lawrence, Kan., thisweek, and Wichita State had to cancel a home series with Fordham.

“They just want to see some green grass and hope the weather will be fine,” UALR Coach Scott Norwood said. “It’s better than sitting at home and looking at 15 inches of snow.”

Wichita State also will play UCA at Bear Stadium in Conway, and Northwestern State and Missouri State have moved a three-game series originally scheduled to be played in Springfield, Mo., to Conway.

UCA will play New Orleans at 6 p.m. Friday, Wichita State at 4 p.m. Saturday and New Orleans at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Northwestern State will play Missouri State at 1 p.m. Friday, 7 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Wichita State and New Orleans will play at noon Saturday in Conway.
