BETWEEN THE LINES: State GOP Needs To Listen Up

If Arkansas’ Republican-led Legislature doesn’t want to follow Democratic Gov. Mike Beebe’s lead on Medicaid expansion, maybe they’ll listen to the growing number of Republican governors who have made that choice.

Now that Beebe has arranged for some 'patronage' in the Expanded Medicaid program the Republicans in both Houses will go along. By sending the Medicaid Expansion money to private insurers the Republicans have some leverage for their supporters.
I think if you check the record more Ark lawmakers are insurance agents than any other occupation.
