Justices Of The Peace Uphold Decision

The rejection of a plan to operate a metal recycling business near Gentry was upheld Monday by the three Benton County justices of the peace chosen to hear an appeal from the county’s Planning Board.

Planning Appeals
Arkansas law provides that an appeal of a decision by a county planning board can be heard by a panel appointed by the county judge. An appeals panel can uphold a decision, reverse it or send it back to the planning board for further consideration. An applicant dissatisfied with the appeals board’s decision may appeal that decision to circuit court.
