In his letter (“Press Goes Too Far” , Feb. 24), Milton Jones of West Fork has shown his lack of understanding about the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act.

I notice that some letter writers have confused the issues of ACCESS to information and the PUBLISHING of information.
They're up in arms because one newspaper in New York state published a list of those with concealed gun permits.
Whether or not that was a good decision by the newspaper, it should not be used to limit public access to public information.
