— Garden Club

The Bentonville Garden Club will meet Tuesday at the Circle of Life Center in Bentonville.

The guest speaker will be Mary Lynn Jordan, owner of Wild Birds, Unlimited. Members will learn how to feed, water and care for birds in the winter season, and there will be a tour of the facility after the meeting.

Refreshments will be served at 12:30 p.m., and the meeting will begin at 1 p.m.

Museum Friends

The Friends of the Rogers Historical Museum have been awarded an Arkansas Heritage Month grant of $2,748 to help fund production of a new community exhibit.

This year’s Arkansas Heritage Month theme is “Saving Our Heritage: Arkansas’s Historic Structures,” and the planned exhibit will focus on historicdistricts and significant individual buildings in Benton County.

The community exhibit will rotate to four different venues in Rogers and may be hosted at other sites in the county as well. The first venue will be the Rogers Adult Wellness Center, where the exhibit will open on May 6.

Homesteaders

The Bella Vista Homesteaders club will meet at 11 a.m. March 5 at Concordia of Bella Vista. Member Susan Keith will speak on home health care.

The Washington County Genealogical Society will host a genealogy workshop at 10 a.m. March 16 in the genealogy department at the Fayetteville Public Library, 401 W. Mountain St.

Beginning, intermediate and experienced genealogists are welcome. Bring a laptop, paper genealogy information or questions and get help to start on genealogy or help finding answers to genealogy questions.

Relay For Life

The Relay For Life of Benton County will have a team captain meeting at 6:30 p.m.

March 12 in the Rotary conference room of the Bentonville Public Library. The event will be held on June 7-8 at the Benton County Fairgrounds.

Civil War Roundtable

The Northwest Arkansas Civil War Roundtable will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the General Store at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History, 118 W. Johnson in Springdale.

The program on the Civil War in western Benton County will be given by Don Warden of the Siloam Springs Museum. The public is welcome.

Bentonville Elks

The Rogers/ Bentonville Elks will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Elks Lodge at 501 S.

40th St. in Rogers.

The Photography Club of the Ozarks is calling for entries for the annual spring photography show. The exhibit of photographs will be at the Blue Sky Gallery inside the Backyard Framer on the east side of the Harrison square and will be free to the public.

The show is open to all photographers 18 or older.

The exhibit opens on March 10 and runs through March 29, with entries from all over Northwest Arkansas.

All photographic entries must be brought to the Blue Sky Gallery no later than 1 p.m. March 9. Judging will be held on March 10 followed by a reception from 2 to 4 p.m.

Winning photographs will be announced at 3 p.m. Monetary prizes will be awarded.
