— The U.S. Geological Survey reported three earthquakes Friday and Saturday in Arkansas, including a magnitude-3.9 quake near Trumann.

No injuries or damage were reported.

The agency said the largest quake was recorded at 4:28 p.m. Saturday, 4 miles southwest of Trumann, about 45 miles northwest of Memphis. Trumann police said they fielded several calls about the quake.

The first quake was a magnitude 1.9 recorded about 6 miles south of Greers Ferry at 5 p.m. Friday, according to the Geological Survey. The second was a magnitude 2.1 recorded at 12:33 a.m. Saturday 6 miles southeast of Clinton.

Both areas are about 55 miles north of Little Rock.

Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest that can be felt by humans.
