St. Bernard of Clairvaux in Bella Vista, 1 Saint Bernard Lane, is collecting socks for its annual Lenten sock drive through March 29 for the Shoebox Ministry. Drop boxes are in the narthex and parish hall.

Bingo will be played in the parish hall March 7. The doors and the snack bar will open at 5:45 p.m.. Besides regular bingo games, there always is a $300 jackpot and a $1,000 jackpot to be won. All proceeds go to charity.

Unitarian Universalists of Benton County in Rogers, 501 S. 40th St. (the Elks Club), will celebrate International Friendship Month on Sunday. All adults and children are encouraged to invite a friend to the fourth Sunday event and bring a food item to share. There will be a friendship-related activity for all and the group will learn the word “friend” in many languages. Children will remain with the adults for an intergenerational social time including food, drinks, games and singing. Guests are asked not to bring anything but themselves.

A Beth Moore Women’s Bible Study “Breaking Free” will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

A Pancake Breakfast will be from 7 to 11 a.m. March 2 in the church fellowship hall. Cost is $5 per person (maximum $20 per family). Children age 2 and younger are free. Door prizes will be awarded. The series finale of Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Fayetteville’s Think Tank discussion on “The New Jim Crow” will be at 7 p.m. March 6 at 901 W. Cleveland St.

The organization has been authorized to present a free screening of “The House I Live In,” a documentary film by Eugene Jarecki, which won the 2012 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize. The book ”The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Era of Colorblindness” by Michelle Alexander has been the basis for an examination of the War on Drugs, race, and the rebirth of an American caste system.

Live and silent auctions, craft fair and yard sale are planned from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 15-16 to benefit The Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs.

The organization is accepting donations for the yard sale March 11-16.

Donated items valued at $50 or more will be placed in the auction, which will be at 1 p.m.
