5A-CENTRAL PULASKI ACADEMY 61, HELENA-WEST HELENA 53

HELENA-WEST HELENA - Marcus Wallace scored 24 points and the Bruins (13-7, 10-4) rallied from a four-point deficit to start the final quarter to defeat the Cougars in the 5A-Central finale for both teams.

Lawson Korita added 20 points for Pulaski Academy.

4A SOUTH MALVERN 48, DUMAS 47

ARKADELPHIA - Travon Polk scored 17 points and the Malvern Leopards held off the Dumas Bobcats at Ouachita Baptist University.

Malvern led 25-12 at the half and 36-27 heading into the final quarter. Devin Bradford added 11 and Kaylen Burks 10 for Malvern, which plays CAC in tonight’s semifinals.

Dontarius Stovall scored 16 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for Dumas.

3A REGION 1 CEDARVILLE 48, LAMAR 47, 2OT

PARIS - Garrett Parson scored 27 points as the Cedarville Pirates survived a double-overtime contest with the Lamar Warriors.

Coltin Partmetier scored 12 and Jeremy Bird 11 for Lamar.

3A REGION 2 JESSIEVILLE 65, ROSE BUD 41

JESSIEVILLE - Braden Davis hit six three-pointers, finished with 22 points and the host Jessieville Lions connected on 18 of 20 free-throw attempts in downing the Rose Bud Ramblers.

Chase Anderson finished with 21 points for Jessieville, which advances to today’s semifinal game against Harding Academy. The Lions (21-7) led 27-17 at the half.

Dillion Reesnes led Rose Bud (11-13) with 19 points while Tyler Mercer added 12.

2A EAST POYEN 63, CARLISLE 51

CARLISLE - Parker Shields led the Poyen Indians with 16 points in a victory over the host Carlisle Bison.

Poyen (25-3) advances to play Clarendon in tonight’s semifinals. The Indians picked up 12 points from Cameron Collins, 11 from Kaleb Collins and 10 from Wesley Crowder.

Carlisle was led by 13 points from Chris Hart, 12 from Austin Reed and 10 from Daron Ricks.

2A WEST HECTOR 80, MAGAZINE 50

MAGAZINE - Behind 26 points from Chandler Stanek, the Hector Wildcats eliminated the host Magazine Rattlers.

Rustin Hays added 17, Hunter Davis 15 and Jacob Chronister 11 for Hector, which turned a 47-34 halftime lead into a 75-41 advantage after three quarters.

David Borgstrom scored 16 and Jack Scott 14 for Magazine.

1A REGION 4 EMERSON 61, KIRBY 60

EMERSON - Colby Brock led the host Emerson Pirates with 16 points in a victory over the Kirby Trojans.

Zack Deputy added 12 for Emerson, which led 38-36 at the half and 52-50 after three quarters.

Damarkus Jones scored 16 and Tavion Revels 15 for Kirby.

GIRLS

4A SOUTH CAC 73, MONTICELLO 51

ARKADELPHIA - Sophomore Sydnie Jones scored 40 points and grabbed 17 rebounds as the Central Arkansas Christian Lady Mustangs mauled the Monticello Lady Billies at Ouachita Baptist University.

Jones was 16 of 21 from the floor and 8 of 14 from the free-throw line. Fourteen of her 17 rebounds came on the defensive end. CAC (24-6) advances to play Malvern in tonight’s semifinals.

Falan Miller added 18 points and eight rebounds for CAC which led 17-14 after one quarter and 34-23 at the half. The Lady Mustangs outscored Monticello 26-12 in the third quarter.

Erin Campbell scored 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for Monticello while teammate Tanekqua Bolden added 12 points.

BAUXITE 41, DUMAS 41

ARKADELPHIA - Senior Mary Crow scored 20 points and collected five rebounds as the Bauxite Lady Miners defeated the Dumas Lady Bobcats.

The game was tied at 33 entering the final quarter.

Allison Tackett added 13 for Bauxite. Whitney Henderson scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Dumas.

3A REGION 1 GREENLAND 57, DANVILLE 40

PARIS - Kari Scott led the Greenland Lady Pirates with 18 points in a victory over the Danville Lady Little Johns.

Kiana Thompson added 12 points for Greenland (14-13). Savannah Hodges scored 17 and Mariah Gorrough 16 for Danville.

PARIS 51, WEST FORK 42

PARIS - Krista Huber scored 19 points in leading the Paris Lady Eagles over the West Fork Lady Tigers.

Sidney Franklin led West Fork with 21 points.

3A REGION 2 E STEM 61, BALD KNOB 58

JESSIEVILLE - Freshman Gia Hayes scored 12 of her 16 points in the fourth quarter as the E Stem Lady Mets knocked off the Bald Knob Lady Bulldogs.

Hayes also hit 7 of 8 free-throw attempts in the final quarter as the Lady Mets (19-5) advanced to play Riverview in today’s semifinals.

Olivia McWilliams led E Stem with 18 points while freshman Brogan Jones added 15.

Taylor Martin led Bald Knob (16-6) with 14 points while Haley Nixon scored 13 and Kassidy Spradlin 10.

HARDING ACADEMY 51, PERRYVILLE 33

JESSIEVILLE - Haley Smith scored 21 points and the Harding Academy Lady Wildcats held the Perryville Lady Mustangs to 11 points in the second half.

Harding Academy (20-8) also picked up 12 points from Anna Lowery and 10from Riley Rose.

Tori Cody led Perryville (19-9) with 15 points, all of which came off three-pointers.

2A WEST BIGELOW 93, UNION CHRISTIAN 53

MAGAZINE - Emily Henson tossed in 33 points as the Bigelow Lady Panthers rolled to a victory over the Union Christian Lady Eagles.

Holly Nutt added 25, Heather Nutt 12 and Caitlin Gottsponer 10 for Bigelow (25-4), which lead 27-19 after one quarter, 42-34 at the half and 60-44 after three quarters.

Bethany Brown scored 18 and Mary Catherine Qualls 16 for Union Christian.

2A EAST CARLISLE 64, ENGLAND 42

CARLISLE - Faith Walker scored 27 points as the Carlisle Lady Bison downed the England Lady Lions.

Breanna Young added 10 points for Carlisle (19-8), which advances to today’s semifinals to face Magnet Cove.

Cecela Phillips scored 11 and Lawanda Criss 10 for England, which trailed 28-18 at the half.

POYEN 60, BRINKLEY 32

CARLISLE - Kylie Smith scored 16 points as the Poyen Lady Indians knocked off the Brinkley Lady Tigers.

Elizabeth Kratz added 12 points and Alex Shaffer, who scored her 1,000 career point in last week’s district tournament championship game against Magnet Cove, finished with 10 points.

Poyen (20-7) advances to play Mount Ida in today’s semifinals.

Lea Carroll led Brinkley with 16 points. 1A REGION 4 ACORN 75, STEPHENS 65

EMERSON - Jasmine Jackson poured in 32 points as the Acorn Lady Tigers defeated the Stephens Lady Roadrunners at Emerson High School.

Acorn used a 29-16 first quarter to take charge of the contest. The Lady Tigers led 39-19 at the half and 54-40 after three quarters.

Katelyn Aleshire added 17 points for Acorn. Shaylon McKamie led Stephens with 19 points while Catori Todd added 15.

WICKES 63, SPARKMAN 35

EMERSON - Danielle Frachiseur scored 26 points and the Wickes Lady Warriors held the Sparkman Lady Raiders to two points in the second quarter on their way to a first-round victory.

Sparkman led 12-9 after one quarter but Wickes led 32-14 at the half. Kelsie Frachiseur added 15 for Wickes.

Paige Key scored nine and Lagina Price six for Sparkman.
