Police: 3 arrested, 2 lbs. of meth found

An investigation by the 4th Judicial Drug Task Force and a traffic stop by a Springdale officer netted two pounds of methamphetamine and three arrests in connection with federal drug charges, according to a news release from the task force.

The officer made the stop Jan. 20 when the vehicle disobeyed a traffic signal on Elm Springs Road. The driver did not consent to a search, but a police dog alerted. A search of the vehicle found two pounds of methamphetamine, according to the news release.

A follow-up search of an apartment at 4096 Delmon Lane in Springdale found a gun and drug paraphernalia, according to the news release.

Police arrested Kyle Alexander, 23, and Christopher Randolph, 19, in connection with possession with intent to deliver. Noe Tavias, 28, was arrested in connection with federal drug conspiracy charges, according to the news release.
