Reports: Brewer traded to Thunder

New York Knicks guard and former Razorback Ronnie Brewer drives the lane against the Suns on December 2, 2012.

— Reports indicate former Fayetteville High and University of Arkansas standout Ronnie Brewer is on the move again.

Brewer was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder from the New York Knicks on Thursday, just ahead of the NBA's trade deadline. He averaged 3.6 points and 2.2 rebounds in 46 games with the Knicks this season, but is known more for his presence on the defensive end of the floor.

Oklahoma City will be Brewer's fifth home in his 7-year career. He was selected by the Utah Jazz in the first round of the 2006 NBA Draft and traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in 2010. He spent only five months there before being traded to the Chicago Bulls, where he played two seasons before the trade to New York last summer.

The Knicks received a second round pick as part of the deal to send Brewer to Oklahoma City, according to Yahoo! Sports. The Thunder, which finished NBA runner-up last season, are currently 39-15 and have the second-best record in the league's western conference.
