Wintery weather across the state on Wednesday forced the postponement of a number of prep regional basketball tournaments.

The Arkansas Activities Association postponed the 4A-North Regional Tournament in Maumelle, moving the start of the tournament to Thursday. There are a number of Northwest Arkansas prep teams competing in the tournament.

Also the 3A Region I Tournament in Paris was postponed on Wednesday and will start Thursday. Several other regionals pushed start times for games on Wednesday up several hours, including the 2A North Regional at Sloan Hendrix and the 1A Region 2 Tournament at Hillcrest.

The games that were postponed on Thursday will push those tournaments to a Monday completion.
