Separate accidents fatal for 2 in state

— Two people died in separate accidents Friday and Saturday on Arkansas roadways, according to preliminary Arkansas State Police fatality accident reports.

Just before 11 p.m. Friday, Jerry Cloud III, 28, was driving a 2010 Toyota Camry west on Lake Shore Drive in Hot Springs when he crossed into the eastbound lane and hit a Jeep Cherokee driven by Jessie Bolden Jr., 24, of Royal, according to the report.

Cloud died at the scene. Bolden was taken to a local hospital and was listed Saturday in stable condition.

About 3 a.m. Saturday, Jimmy Lunsford, 35, of Sheridan was walking west along Interstate 30 in Hot Spring County near mile marker 93 when he stepped out on the roadway and was hit by a 2011 Ford driven by Wayne Harlan of Lancaster, Texas, the report states. He was then struck by a tractor-trailer driven by Bruce Koons of Knoxville, Tenn.

Lunsford died at the scene.
