Prosecutors File Charges Against Clowers

Prosecutors filed formal charges Friday against a former Washington County constable, accusing him of impersonating a law enforcement officer.

If convicted, Tommy Clowers faces up to six years in prison or a fine up to $10,000 or both. The misdemeanor charge is punishable with up to a year in jail or a fine up to $1,000 or both.

Anyone driving past his house could have seen the blue pickup with blue lights parked adjacent to his residence.
