Arrest made in deadly Springdale stabbing

A Springdale man is being held in connection with a capital murder charge arising from a Wednesday night stabbing. Springdale police records identify the man as Juan Pablo Perez-Lopez, 27, and the man killed as Jesus Villalobos, 48.
Perez-Lopez is suspected of stabbing Villalobos to death at the old Rick and Betty’s gasoline station at Huntsville Avenue and Morrison Place, police said. They were called to the scene about 6:38 p.m. to a report of two men fighting.
According to a news release, investigators found that Perez-Lopez was unhappy about the repair of his vehicle at a shop where Villalobos worked, according to the news release. Perez-Lopez came to the shop, and stabbed Villalobos in the office and as he tried to flee following an argument, according to the news release.
