A fire alarm at Rogers Heritage High School evacuated the building, late Wednesday afternoon, but no fire was found.
The Heritage call was a false alarm, said Fire Chief Tom Jenkins.
Administrators pulled the fire alarm after smelling smoke in the southwest corner of the third floor. Students were evacuated and re-entered the building once it was cleared by firefighters, said assistant principal Jerrod Blockburger. Students were back in class before the end of seventh hour, he said.
