Enthusiasm high as spring-training camps get under way

Major league pitchers and catchers reported to spring training at camps in Arizona and Florida on Monday. The 2013 season begins March 31 when the Texas Rangers visit the Houston Astros in Houston. Beginning this season, the American and National leagues will feature 15 teams each, with the Astros moving to the AL West after playing in the NL since 1962.
New Miami Marlins Manager Mike Redmond arrived at his office at 5 a.m. Monday ready to go long before the Florida sun was shining, his thoughts already on a date 254 days from now: Game 1 of the World Series.
