Rick Farrar of Franklin wears a SongFinder amplifier clipped to his belt. He likes it that the band that secures its two earpieces fits across the back of his head rather than over the top.
Rick Farrar, a wildlife biologist in Franklin who through the years has lost the ability to hear very high-pitched bird calls, recommends the SongFinder ($750).
