Business news in brief

Warehouse 54 renovates new store

T.L. Faires opened a new, larger location for Warehouse 54.

The store stayed in downtown Springdale but renovated a larger location at 101 W. Emma St.

The business sells handmade items by local artisans and antiques.

Faires said this is actually the businesses’ third location. It started in June 2012 in an old warehouse near Success Avenue in Springdale. He moved to a small storefront on Emma Avenue in September.

The new site has 3,600 square feet and was once home to a high-end clothing store, a jewelry store and a children’s store. Faires said site renovation included knocking down the walls. About 90 percent of the interior woodwork was done with reclaimed lumber.

The previous store only had about 950 square feet.

For now, Faires is working the store himself, but he hopes to be busy enough to hire two or three salesmen.

The store is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays.
