— A 21-year-old woman died of injuries suffered in a head-on collision on Arkansas 12 east of Rogers early Wednesday, according to Arkansas State Police.

Tiffany Crawford, 21, of 2703 W. Gum St. in Rogers was eastbound in a 2004 Toyota 4Runner on Arkansas 12 about 6:10 a.m. Wednesday. As she rounded the curve, her vehicle crossed the center line and hit a 1992 Dodge Ram driven by Peter Lane, 39, of 16207 Sycamore Lane in Rogers.

Crawford wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, according to an accident report. The weather was clear and the roadway dry at the time of the accident.

Rogers Fire Chief Tom Jenkins said both Crawford and Lane had to be removed from their vehicles. It took firefighters about 15 minutes to free the drivers.

Lane was airlifted to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Jenkins said. He was in fair condition Wednesday afternoon, according to a hospital spokesperson.

Crawford was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Rogers.
