— P.A.M.’s net loss put at $311,010

P.A.M. Transportation Services Inc. of Tontitown on Wednesday reported a net loss of $311,010, or diluted loss per share of 4 cents, for its fourth quarter that ended Dec. 31.

For the same period a year ago, the trucking firm reported net income of $133,037, or 2 cents per diluted share.

For the full year end Dec. 31, P.A.M. reported net income of $2.18 million, or 25 cents per diluted, up from a loss of $2.6 million for the year ended Dec. 31, 2011.

Operating revenue for the fourth quarter of 2012 were $95.8 million, up 7.1 percent from $89.4 million a year ago.

For the full fiscal year, operating revenue was $380.6 million, up 6 percent from $359.2 million a year ago.

P.A.M.’s stock closed Wednesday at $9.68, unchanged.

The stock has traded between $8.81 and $12.58 in the past year.

Company named an up-and-comer

Collective Bias, a Bentonville-based shopper media firm, has been listed at No. 100 on Forbes magazine’s America’s Most Promising Companies, a list of 100 privately held firms the magazine’s staff designates as having high growth potential.

The firm was cofounded in 2009 by John Andrews, chief executive officer, and Amy Callahan, chief operating officer.

Collective Bias draws on a team of 1,300 shopping-focused influencers, operating under the umbrella Social Fabric, who generate online content.

The company has satellite offices in New York City, Chicago, Minneapolis and San Francisco and plans to open offices in Toronto and London this year.

2 stocks hit new highs; index at 263

The Arkansas Index, a price-weighted index that tracks the largest public companies based in the state, climbed 2.12 to close at 263 on Wednesday.

Bank of the Ozarks hit a new 52-week high of $37.94 before finishing at $37.90.

Shares of USA Truck Inc. gained 2.3 percent to finish at $4.86.

Tyson Foods Inc. hit a new 52-week high of $23.46 before closing at $23.39.

Arkansas Best Corp.

shares rose 4 percent to end at $10.91.

Shares of Acxiom Corp. gained 1.4 percent to close at $17.99.

Volume for the index was 22.79 million shares, compared with average daily volume of 22.9 million shares.

The index was developed by Bloomberg News and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette with a base value of 100 as of Dec. 30, 1997.
