Century 21 Merging With Coldwell Banker

Northwest Arkansas’ largest real estate agency just got bigger.

Century 21 Exclamation is merging with Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney & Faucette.

“We are expanding our footprint in the market,” said George Faucette, an owner of the area Coldwell Banker franchise. “We have the good fortune to have some size that allows us to bring more to the table.”

Faucette said his firm has 165 agents and posted $469 million in sales last year.

Century 21 has 30 agents with 2012 sales of $45 million.

Agents will work under the Coldwell Banker banner.

“We will bring the Century 21 agents into the fold,” Faucette said. “Our agencies have the same cultures.”

Pat Harris is the other owner of the area Coldwell Banker office.

Coldwell Banker Faucette merged with Harris McHaney Realtors in February 2010, creating the largest agency.

Coldwell Banker Faucette was formed in 1956 by George Faucette Sr.

Marcella Hagan, broker owner of Century 21 Exclamation, started her firm in February 2008. She was a broker/owner at Remax from 1998 to 2006.

Coldwell Banker had the most residential home sales in 2012 with 2,689, according to Multiple Listing Service data.

Crye-Leike had the next most sales with 2,032 followed by Lindsey & Associates with 1,939.

Harold Crye, president of Crye-Leike Inc., recently told real estate agents at a kickoff meeting the company had $333 million in local sales.

Real estate agents across all companies broke $1 billion in sales in 2012, according to an annual report by MountData, a real estate marketing firm.

The report also showed there were 317 real estate companies in 2012 that were members of the Northwest Arkansas MLS system, down from 377 in 2011.

The number of agents making at least one sale during the year dropped to 1,596 from 1,641.
