Burglary Suspects Sought

— Police are seeking a burglar wielding a baseball bat.

Several restaurants in Springdale and one in Rogers were burglarized by a person using a bat or similar item to break out windows, according to a Springdale Police news release. Police have surveillance video from some of the restaurants that show the same method of entry.

In two locations a GMC Envoy is visible in the video, according to the release, including one at Popeye’s Chicken in Rogers.

Two of the burglaries came in late November, said Lt. Derek Hudson, Springdale public information officer, at Joe’s Pizza and Pasta, 4224 W. Sunset Ave., and KFC, 600 S. Thompson St. The burglaries then stopped until January, he said,

Fro Jan. 15 until Jan. 27, seven burglaries were committed that followed the same method. The burglaries include restaurants at Shipley’s Donuts, 1486 W. Sunset Ave. and Tanqueria Mexico, 1205 S. Thompson St. as well as Payday Pawn Shop, 502 Virginia St.
