Gregory Judge, 50, entered the plea before U.S. District Judge P.K. Holmes III to a charge of transmitting an interstate threat to kill the human services employees in Mena, according to the indictment filed Nov. 27.

A news release from the U.S. attorney’s office stated that Judge could be sentenced to up to five years in prison and fined up to $250,000. He has been held in the Polk County jail since his indictment, court records show.

According to court records, Judge phoned the Human Services Department on Oct. 10 about his child, for whom his parental rights were terminated. During the call, Judge became angry and made the threats against the case worker.

The case was investigated by the Mena Police Department, Polk County prosecuting attorney and the FBI, according to the news release.
