— A man was arrested Monday on felony charges in connection with stolen prescription narcotics from a senior housing facility.

Kirk Driscoll, 28, was arrested while in Bentonville District Court for a felony residential burglary charge stemming from a July arrest by Bella Vista police.

Driscoll, the former head of security at Concordia Retirement Center, was arrested July 10 for felony residential burglary and misdemeanor theft of property in connection with stealing prescription narcotics from a patient’s room at Concordia, according to police.

Police confirmed his identity from video surveillance footage provided by Jeff Tonack, Concordia’s executive director. Driscoll was released in July on a $20,000 bond.

Since August, he has been wanted by police on felony residential burglary and misdemeanor criminal impersonation charges related to similar incidents at The Plaza at Highlands Crossing in Bella Vista, authorities said.

After further investigation into incidents at The Plaza, police said a second warrant was issued for Driscoll’s arrest in connection with missing prescription drugs from an apartment there.

A man attempted to gain entry into apartments July 9 by claiming he was part of the maintenance department and was checking for water leaks. After news coverage from his first arrest, four residents of The Plaza confirmed Driscoll’s identity through a photo lineup, said Capt. Tim Cook of the Bella Vista Police Department.

The second warrant was issued Aug. 27, but police were unable to locate Driscoll. They believed he was living out of state, Cook said.

Driscoll appeared in court Monday for sentencing on the original charge.

He is being held in the Benton County Jail, after being sentenced to 120 days on the original felony charge. Police said the prosecuting attorney requested his bond set at $50,000 on the second set of charges.

He is awaiting a bond hearing on the second set of charges and is to appear in court March 18.
