Goodell prepared to bring in backup

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell told reporters Monday at a news conference that the Superdome had a backup power system that was about to be used during the Super Bowl’s electrical failure that lasted 34 minutes. It wasn’t needed because power started coming back on, he said.
