— A rundown of Super Bowl pregame coverage planned today on CBS, which will televise the game, as well as ESPN and NFL Network programming (schedule is subject to change): CBS

(Program runs from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Central. To be interspersed at various times are a live shot with our troops from Afghanistan as well as live musical performances from OneRepublic and Matchbox Twenty.)

1 p.m. Introduction, overview.

1:15 p.m. Feature on San Francisco 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis.

1:35 p.m. Piece on Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice.

1:40 p.m. Feature on Zack Golditch, a high school football player who was wounded in the movie theater shooting last summer in Aurora, Colo., in which 12 people were killed. Golditch, who was shot through the neck, became a symbol of strength as he fought his way back onto the football field.

1:50 p.m. Television personality Rachael Ray prepares tailgate food.

2 p.m. Inspirational piece on O.J. Brigance, who was special teams captain for the Ravens in the 2001 Super Bowl then six years later was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), and given less than five years to live but now serves as an adviser to the team.

2:20 p.m. Feature on the role music has played in New Orleans’ recovery from Hurricane Katrina.

2:40 p.m. Discussion on player safety and concussions in football.

2:50 p.m. Commentary from broadcaster Jim Rome.

3 p.m. Segment on Indianapolis Colts Coach Chuck Pagano’s battle with leukemia.

3:10 p.m. Segment on Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco.

3:30 p.m. CBS News’ Scott Pelley interview with President Obama.

3:50 p.m. Segment on 49ers tight end Vernon Davis.
