Elliot to Join Celebrate Arkansas

— Wyley Elliott, vice president for Public Relations and Development at NorthWest Arkansas Community College, will assume the role of executive editor of Celebrate Arkansas Magazine effective Feb. 18.

Elliott’s departure from the college was announced in a news release Friday afternoon.

Elliott joined the college as an administrator in August 2009. Prior to his employment at the college, he served for two years as an NWACC Foundation Board member. Elliott helped spearhead the fundraising campaign for the Melba Shewmaker Southern Region National Child Protection Training Center that is housed at the college, the release stated.

“Having the chance to work with work force and corporate training, the NWACC Foundation, public relations and marketing, the National Child Protection Training Center and our amazing community supporters has given me a whole new perspective on the positive impact NWACC has on so many people,” Elliott said in the release.

Before joining the college, Elliott was Northwest Arkansas regional president for Metropolitan National Bank.

“We appreciate all that Wyley has done for NorthWest Arkansas Community College, and his commitment and dedication to NWACC will have a lasting impact on the region through initiatives such as the Melba Shewmaker Southern Region National Child Protection Training Center,” Paneitz said.

In his new position, Elliott will work in tandem with Mari Taylor, Celebrate’s editor-in-chief.

Elliott’s last day at the college will be Feb. 15.
