Unity Church of the Ozarks in Bentonville, 902 S.W. Second St. Suite E, is collecting food to be donated to the Pea Ridge Middle School Food Drive. The collection will continue until school is out.

Food can be dropped off on Sundays. To schedule a drop off during the week, call 721-2752. All women are welcome to the monthly women’s gathering at 9 a.m.

The youth at First Presbyterian Church in Springdale, 100 S. Gutensohn Road, will participate in the annual nationwide “Souper Bowl of Caring” event on Sunday, Super Bowl Sunday.

They will collect donations in soup pots following 10:30 a.m. worship service with the proceeds going to buy food locally for the Christians United Pantry. On a day when millions are focusedon a football game, this event focuses on feeding the hungry.

A retirement reception to honor the Rev. Larry F. and Beverly Woodward will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 10 at Fayetteville First Church of the Nazarene, 2857 N. Old Missouri Road. Friends and family are invited to attend the celebration of Woodward’s more than 29 years of service as pastor of the church.

The Woodwards moved to Fayetteville from Liberal, Kan., in October 1983 to serve he church and the community.
