Red Devils gang up on Warriors

— Jacksonville ran away from Little Rock Christian early in a 54-26 victory at the Devil’s Den.

The Red Devils (15-4, 8-1 5A-Central) outscored Little Rock Christian 14-0 to start the game.

It would be near the middle of the third quarter before the Warriors (3-15, 0-8) reached that total.

Jacksonville had seven different players score the first seven field goals as Coach Victor Joyner shuffled different lineups in and out.

Little Rock Christian went nearly seven minutes without scoring, and managed 10 points in the first half.

The Red Devils led 20-5 after the first quarter and 50-22 heading into the fourth quarter.

By the opening seconds of the second quarter, the Red Devils had already used 15 different players. By the end of the game, 12 of those players scored, while two others didn’t because of missed free throws.

Khaleel Hart led Jacksonville with 12 points. Aaron Smith and Reggie Barnes had seven points apiece.

Cole Hendrixson shared the Warriors’ scoring lead with Garrison Coney with nine points.
