Three arrested in drug bust

— An anonymous tip led detectives to three arrests Thursday, after they seized more than a pound of marijuana and various amounts of illegal mushrooms, methamphetamine, pills and nearly $34,000 in cash, according to arrest reports.

Joshua Fair, 28, of 5810 W. Wedington Drive, William Littig, 19, of 10 S. Willow Ave., and Benjamin Driver, 20, of 1698 Windsor Ave., in Springdale were arrested Thursday in connection with felony possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and nine counts of possession of a controlled substance. Driver also faces a felony charge for destruction of vital public property.

According to an arrest report, a tipster told police that Fair, Littig and Driver were trafficking large amounts of marijuana and other drugs in the Northwest Arkansas area.

During an investigation on Thursday, detectives saw Fair, Driver and Littig loading boxes into two separate vehicles, according to the report. Driver and Littig left the residence in a blue Honda, the report said, followed by Fair in a white van.

Police stopped both vehicles on Wedington Drive about 11 a.m. Thursday, the report stated.

During a search of the Honda, police found a safe containing marijuana, pay stubs and “a large amount of U.S. currency,” according to the report.

Inside the van, police said they found 613 grams of marijuana, 34 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 4 grams of methamphetamine, several containers of suspected LSD, digital scales, various prescription drugs and “a large amount of U.S. currency.”

Sgt. Brad Renfro, of the 4th Judicial District Drug Task Force, said the money was seized by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Fair, Driver and Littig were taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where they were being held Friday without bond.
