Three arrested in connection with kidnapping plot

Police arrested three people this week in connection with a plot to kidnap a man, beat him with a baseball bat then deliver him to drug dealers.

Bentonville police made the arrests after a man came to the Police Department at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday to report his ex-girlfriend had come into his friend's house at 3204 Mimosa Way and attacked him, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Jason Emerson told police that Danett Lynn Stracar-Pinoski, 34, found him in the garage and demanded that he get into a van that was parked in front of the house, according to an affidavit. Emerson said two other men were with Stracar-Pinoski, and he refused to get into the van.

Emerson said one of the men pulled out a knife and Stracar-Pinoski began punching him in the head with brass knuckles, according to the affidavit. Emerson said the man never came at him with the knife, but he feared the man would have if he tried to do something to Stracar-Pinoski.

Emerson's friend came into the garage and the three fled from the scene, according to the affidavit.

Stracar-Pinoski told police she was angry at Emerson for previously assaulting her, according to the affidavit. Rogers police took a report of the assault, which is still under investigation with no charges filed, according to the affidavit.

Chad Justin Neely and Stacar-Pinoski told police about a plot to kidnap Emerson then take him to their Rogers home and beat him, according to documents. They were then going to take Emerson to drug dealers because Neely believed that Emerson had stolen drugs from him, according to the probable cause affidavit.

A third person, Curtis Slinkard, was also arrested.

Stracar-Pinoski was arrested in connection with aggravated residential burglary, attempted kidnapping, domestic battering in the second degree and criminal use of a prohibited weapon. Neely was arrested in connection with aggravated residential burglary, attempted kidnapping and aggravated assault. Slinkard was arrested in connection with attempted kidnapping.

Neely, 35, Slinkard, 28, and Stracar-Pinoski, all of Rogers, were being held Friday in the Benton County Jail on $100,000 bonds.

Prosecutors have not filed formal charges against the trio.
