Two Men Arrested In Connection With Burglary

— Two men were arrested Monday in connection with the theft of a safe from AQ Chicken House at 1207 N. Thompson St., according to a news release from the Springdale Police Department.

Police responded to a burglary alarm at AQ at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, found a door open and the safe missing, according to the news release.

Heath Holcomb, 24, and Chris Grubbs, 25, both of 207 N. Carlton Road in Springdale were spotted by a security guard at Allen Canning Co. on Thompson Street at 4 a.m., according to the release. They were pushing a safe, stolen from AQ Chicken House, on a dolly through the parking lot, according to the release. A patrol sergeant with the Springdale Police Department found the two men next to a car behind the Allen building.

There were no signs of a burglary at Allen Canning, according to the release.

Holcomb and Grubbs both were arrested in connection with felony commercial burglary, according to police records. They were in the Washington County Detention Center on Monday awaiting a bond hearing.
