The Arkansas Running Klub is inviting central Arkansas runners and walkers to join the North Little Rock club’s annual Winter Series of four aid-supported runs.
Each week, the club will provide a measured course and water stops for these distances: 5K, 10K and half-marathon.
A $15 entry fee includes all four runs ($10 for club members) as well as a premium bearing the club logo. To do the series and also join the club, the fee is $25.
Finish times will not be collected, although the club will set up its race clock. All the outings begin at 8 a.m.
Saturday: Little Rock River Market pavilions
Jan 11: Pavilion 7 in Little Rock’s Murray Park
Jan 18: Lake Willastein in Maumelle
Jan 25: Burns Park trails, parking at the Boy Scout trailhead parking area on Arlene Laman Drive near the Interstate 40 overpass.
Club president Kirk Riley says this year’s premium is a pair of gloves with fingerpads designed for texting.
