Some 6,000 drawings depicting gratitude by students in schools in Benton and Washington counties is on display at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville.

Students created the artwork last month as part of the Everyartist Live! event, a joint project with Walmart and Everyartist.me, an organization that seeks to foster the creative development of children. An estimated 40,000 children in Northwest Arkansas partipated in the project. Organizers said an estimated 300,000 children were involved in the project nationwide.

The art was originally done on paper and cut to an eight-inch square. The squares were reduced to four inches and mounted on large window decals. The decals are on the doors of the education section of the museum accessible from Walker Landing. The work will be on display until the end of January.

Some of the artwork will be exhibited beginning Jan. 10 at the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville and Jan. 11 at the Jones Center in Springdale. More artwork will be displayed along the Fayetteville and Bentonville trail system later this winter.
