Azahares, the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith’s Spanish-language magazine, is seeking submissions for its Spring 2014 issue through Jan. 18.
The magazine is designed to reflect Hispanic culture in the region and act as a creative outlet for Spanish-language writers. Submissions must be written primarily in Spanish or have a Latino-related theme if written in English.
Artwork and photography submitted must reflect the culture of the Spanish-speaking world. Local, national and international authors and artists may submit their work.
Poems should be no longer than 100 lines, and prose should be 3,500 words or less. Artists and authors should submit files in .doc or .docx format with a 60-word biography written in Spanish.
Artwork and photography should be submitted as .jpg files. Submissions may be made by emailing marv.
