Tuesday. An interactive outdoor nativity with the 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. services will feature 12 live animals, Bible character portrayals and scenery. The 11 p.m. service features traditional carols and Scripture.

First Presbyterian Church in Rogers, 1901 S. 26th St., offers a Blue Christmas service at 6 p.m. Sunday. The service is for those who are hurting and will be peaceful,quiet and more reflective than traditional Christmas services, with Scripture focusing on the comfort God offers. The service will include the opportunity for worshipers to light a candle in remembrance and will include communion.

The church offers Monday School classes beginning at 9 a.m. Jan. 6. January classes focus on Galatians and Romans. The classes are led by Spencer L. Allen, theologian in residence.

Allen presents several lectures on the third Thursday of each month, called Thursday Night Theology. The first lecture, from a historical perspective,begins at 7 p.m. Jan. 16 with “Who Wrote the Four Gospels, and What Sources Did They Use?”
