Where I live: I live in west Little Rock with my husband, Jacob. We share our home with two schnauzers, Gretchen and Gerdie; a Doberman named Snoop Dog; and my standard poodle, Lefty.
Occupation: I am a hairstylist and salon owner at Stilo Salon in west Little Rock.
My favorite space is: Our den/kitchen combo.
Why? This space combines my two favorite things - cooking and hanging out on my oversize sectional with Jacob and the dogs. With the stress of our busy weekdays, Jacob and I look forward to Sundays the most. We pile up on the sofa with our crew and watch Netflix all day. We each have a spot on the sofa,although one of us might be covered in canines. It’s the best way to spend the day. And when it’s time to cook up something, I don’t even have to leave the room. Because Jacob and I work so hard during the week and my job is so social, this space is where we retreat.
If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Our den is technically on the second story of our house and we have an amazing backyard with lots of trees. There is a large picture window in the room looking out to the backyard. I would love to extend the window almost the length of the wall and create floor-to-ceiling windows. Until then, I love it the way it is.
