Janski Named Fayetteville AD

— Steve Janski, 39, of Heber Springs is the new athletic director for the Fayetteville School District.

He was named at this evening's meeting of the Fayetteville School Board.

Janski has been the head football coach and athletic director in Heber Springs since 2005. Prior to joining Heber Springs, Janski was the tight end coach and recruiting coordinator at East Carolina University from 2003-2005

He served as a graduate assistant coach at the University of Arkansas from 2000 to 2003. He is a University of Arkansas graduate and is a candidate for a master’s degree in education leadership from Arkansas State University next summer.

Janski replaces Barry Gebhart, who resigned in October following his arrest in connection with Internet stalking of a child.
