The city of Little Rock is selling bicycle shirts as a fundraiser for safe cycling education.

Designed by recycling coordinator Melinda Glasgow, the colorful, short-sleeved, technical-fabric jersey and a T-shirt made of the same fabric bear a silhouette of the downtown skyline and the slogan “Bike LR.”

The jersey has three pockets in the rear, stretch bands under the arms and a front zipper. For $60, it comes in men’s sizes S-XXL and women’s XS-XL.

The $40 T-shirt comes in men’s M-XXL and women’s S-XL. Both can be purchased (in person only) at City Hall from the Treasury Management Division, 500 W. Markham St., Room 100.

Treasury manager Scott Massanelli says if this first order of 200 jerseys and 100 T-shirts sells, the city will order more. More information is at (501) 371-4568.
