More diverse Nasdaq seeks dot-com peak without the bubble

While the Nasdaq composite index is up 35 percent in 2013 and other major indexes such as the Dow Jones industrial average and Standard & Poor’s 500 have celebrated all-time highs, the Nasdaq remains 20 percent below its dot-com bubble peak of 5,048.62.

It takes a long time to recover from a bad hangover, especially for someone who parties like it’s 1999.
