in Springdale, and St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Springdale, 2898 South 48th St., present their combined choirs in a Christmas cantata, titled “I Hear the Prophet Callin’,” directed by David White.

First United Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville, 695 Calvin St., offers one combined service at 11 a.m. Sunday for the chancel choir’s presentation of “Savior of the Nations, Come,” an Advent hymn festival directed by Michael Shuman. Reading from the writings of Dietrich Bonhoefferwill be included.

First Presbyterian Church in Springdale, 100 S. Gutensohn Road, presents the Chancel Choir and a string quartet leading worship through a number of Christmas anthems at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday. The service also will include “The Birth of Jesus,” presented by children of the congregation. At 2 p.m., youth and families of the church will go Christmas caroling at various locations.

A Christmas Eve candlelight service with communion will be held at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 24.

Brand New Church in Farmington, 3162 Martin Luther King Blvd., gives away 180 brandnew Huffy bicycles beginning at 10 a.m. today. Age-appropriate bicycles will be available firstcome, first-served for those in need. The congregation raised funds in October and November.
